Ashton Cobb – Starting Your Own Restaurant

Starting your own restaurant is all about risk versus reward. Restaurants are always risky endeavors because they are subject to a particular area’s tastes, which are always changing. People go to restaurants that they like—that they are familiar with. Getting on the map in any location is the most crucial and most difficult part of building a successful restaurant. Once you’re established, your rewards will pour in for years as more people become familiar with your menus, your building, and your employees.

When you start the planning process, the most important detail to determine first is your food concept. What food will you be serving, and how will you present it? What will the prices on your menu be? What kind of ambiance will you cultivate? Make these decisions first so that you have a direction to move in as you embark on your culinary journey.

Once you have a food concept, you have to crunch the numbers. How much risk will you be taking with your concept? How much should you invest to see profits after two years? These are tough questions to ask, but getting some idea of the cost of operations will help you as you plan further.

Ashton Cobb – Waiting for the Perfect Opportunity

As Ashton Cobb, a free agent in the NFL knows, when waiting for a contract there is lots of anticipation in the air, but there also has to be a strategy or goal in place so that the day a contact presents itself, an informed decision can be made. Waiting for the perfect opportunity is a matter of patience, determination and some positivity. Below are some explanations as to why those are the three most important factors.

Patience is a trait that will always help you get the best results possible. When waiting for opportunities to come, one must know how to make the most of that idle time while also remaining hopeful that the efforts will not go in vain.
In order to make progress towards your goal, you have to work hard through all the uncertainty and get better and better so that the day the opportunities start coming in, you will be in the perfect shape to compete.

Positivity and optimism are the two driving emotions that will keep you on path towards reaching your goals. While there can be lots of uncertainty while waiting for an opportunity, the positivity will help drown some of that out and keep you focused on reaching your goals.

The NFL was first founded in 1920; and it was first recognized as the American Professional Football Association before changing its name in 1923. A sport that was once unique to the United States, American football is now played in several different countries; however the NFL remains to be not only the most-watched professional sports league in the United States, but also has the highest average game attendance of any professional sport in the world.

With the increasing popularity of football throughout the early 1900’s, many prospective franchises were denied entry into the American Professional Football Association, which led to the creation of the American Football League in 1959.

From the AFL came teams such as the Boston Patriots, Denver Broncos and Los Angeles Chargers who helped push the popularity of this competing league. In 1970, the AFL merged with the APFA to create the NFL. What followed the merger was the creation of the Super Bowl, one of the biggest sporting events in the world that determines who will earn the national championship title for that season.
